The Story Behind Our Website Upgrade
When a buyer opens a B2B website, first impressions form within seconds: Do images load quickly? Is the page smooth? Does this supplier look professional and dependable?
We understand this better than anyone. That is why we recently completed a major infrastructure upgrade — migrating our product image data to Cloudflare R2 cloud storage and enabling global CDN acceleration across the site.
01 Why This Upgrade Matters
In B2B sourcing, product images are the core source of decision-making information. Previously, our images were served from the same origin as the website, forcing overseas visitors to fetch data across continents.
Our goal is simple: wherever you are in the world, you should be able to browse our products as smoothly as if the website were hosted in your own country.
02 What We Did
Migrated product images to Cloudflare R2 object storage — enterprise-grade cloud storage with global redundancy and up to 11 nines of data durability.
Enabled global CDN acceleration — powered by Cloudflare 300+ edge locations worldwide, requests are answered from the node nearest to you.
Long-term caching for static assets — commonly used resources are served directly from edge nodes, minimizing repeated origin fetches.
03 Faster: Measured, Not Just Promised
Our measurements show that product images, once cached at the edge, respond with a first byte in about 0.96 seconds. Static resources are cached for up to 30 days.
Whether you are in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East or Southeast Asia, the experience is consistently fast.
04 More Reliable
Images are now decoupled from the main site server. Even during maintenance or unexpected traffic spikes, product images remain stable and accessible.
05 More Professional
A company website that loads quickly and reliably from anywhere in the world demonstrates attention to detail and genuine care for the customer experience.
06 We Are Not Stopping Here
We are already working on dynamic page acceleration and image format optimization (WebP).
